- We need to find a solution to host our image archive online for the University, Colleges, and Departments. It is ridiculous that we do not have a centralized place for this information. If there were a way to get a "flickr.tamu.edu" type solution, we'd be in heaven. (Attempts were made to contact Flickr about licensing their software, but at the time they'd just been acquired by Yahoo, and no one at Yahoo appeared to realize that they owned Flickr...)
Software
Image Galleries contains a list of software for displaying lots of images. Some of them, like Gallery, can be useful for managing photo collections, but none are robust enough for the number of images a campus-wide photo library would contain.
