Except for Google's, the free ones tend to be inflexible, often showing you only the most popular 10 pages on your site. If you want to see numbers on a new page that's getting a lot of traffic right now but hasn't yet surpassed your top 10 - no go.

However, AWstats's Full List includes several hundred of the most popular search terms that brought visitors to your site.

Google Analytics bought Urchin in 2005 and rebranded its hosted tracking service as Google Analytics. The service, which used to cost several hundred dollars per month, is now free. For sites whose firewalls prevent them from using the service, Google still sells the previous version of the Urchin software, which is installed on your server and gets its data from the server logs rather than a Javascript bug.
